OUCH! Mr. Perfect isn't going to like this at all. I hope he doesn't end up committing suicide over C.C. not becoming a Giant.

Yahoo reported yesterday that he was asking lifestyle questions about NYC. He wanted to make sure the schools would be good for his kids, since whereever he signed he was going to be there for a few years.

Yeh, I haven't seen specific language yet (heck, it's probably not written yet), but supposedly CC's got the right to opt out of the contract after a few years. This, reportedly, was specifically because of concerns he had related to playing in NY.

(Even if he leaves early, he still departs with a tidy $69 mil. Not a bad take for an experience he'd ultimately file under "It Didn't Work Out".)

I am not a Yankees fan, I was hoping he would sign somewhere else, anywhere else.

I thought CC would be one of the few players to actually take less money to play where he wants to. Its too bad, I honestly dont think he can handle the New York pressure.
