They probably have as good a chance of any of the six teams in the league, but we'll just have to see .

Re: The Story of the Israel Baseball League

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, I selected my team entirely at random.

I assigned each team a number of 1-6. Netanya was 1, Petach Tivka was 2, Ra'anana 3, Bet Shemesh 4, Modi'in 5, and Tel Aviv 6. After that, I rolled a six sided die and the number that came up was six, so I ended up with Tel Aviv. And prior to selecting the team I had the computer run a fantasy draft to shake up the teams in case the Y4 bug had set in, which I had assumed it had.

No, you are. The Fantasy Draft and team selection process was one of the first things I did once I came up with this idea. All the players were created well after the draft occured.

do you have a writer for Bet Shemish?
No, but if gosens ends up working with RF4E I think rockiesfan was planning on having them split the divisions. So one of them would cover the North and the other the South.

You know, that's a good idea. I never even thought of that. We just might have to see what happens there.

    I see it now
Barry Bonds to Join newly Formed Israel Baseball League
Bet Shemish-Barry Bonds arrived in Bet Shemish to meet with League Offical Mark Cuban to discuss a possible sigining in the league. "He said the MLB wont sign him so he came to Isreal to see if he had a chance.." Cuban said.
For complete story see page C7

Just had to throw that out

Barry's big head would be too much of a target for a sniper to ever play in Israel.

Its an interesting idea and would draw media attention to the league, a good move if they are really trying to compete with the MLB.

I think they'd need a little bit more than Bonds to "compete" with MLB.
