Baseball gets a little more serious about steroid testing. Andruw Jones' numbers take big hits.
No I'm not joking. If I was joking I would have said "So a guy walks into a bar..."

Could be related, sure. The fact that he appears to have started consuming pizzas by the dozen certainly doesn't help any area of his production, either.

Baseball introduces drug testing for the 2004 season and makes it tougher over the next 2 or so years, and Andruw Jones goes on to hit 51 and then 41 home runs, pretty out of line with the rest of his career.

I LOL at this. I can picture him putting pizzas in the pitching machine and eating them when they come flying at him, ala Homer Simpson.

His wife is a fantastic cook and he doesn't have the will power to say no to her food.

    That's why, lol.

It's probably more along the lines of his wife is a horrible cook so he stuffs his face with McDonalds and Burger King whenever he can.

Oh, well I didn't know that, lol. That probably is the case then.

Better yet, I would take Mike Hampton in CF over Jones, heck, he can at least hit better.
Most teams would probably be just as good with me as their CF as Jones. I'm 46, about 5'9", 240 lbs, and have never played organized baseball at any level--but I could probably hit for at least as high an average as Jones right now, and I'd do it a lot cheaper.

Please take him off the Dodgers hands. Please, please, please!
