so for the most part mussina and blyleven were consistently good, as in the top 10, maybe the top 5, but they were never the best.

Using ERA+, which doesn't factor in playing time (other than having qualified for the ERA title). VORP does, and Mussina was tops in the AL twice in that (haven't checked Blyleven).
