    More Likely to Happen

I think the 0-16 is more likely to happen. The Lions are just a horrible team and the Titans have some tough games ahead of them. They have the Jets, Colts, ect.

0-16 is more likely...Detroit has very little actual talent. Tennessee is good, but going undefeated is incredibly hard to do.

    Re: More Likely to Happen

There's no way the Lions are going to win a game unless that young QB they've been hiding for us surprises us if he ever gets a start. They always have and always will, suck.

The Titans, could happen, but probobly not. They face the hot Jets this week, then the Steelers and Colts to end out the season. They will lose atleast one of those three games, possibly all three.

You know what would be funny though, if the Lions beat the Titans next week (If the Titans win this week)

    Re: More Likely to Happen

The Lions are very, very, very, VERY bad. However, I could see them beating the pants off of Chicago to pick up their only win of the season, just because Chicago sucks and seems to be doing whatever they can to embarrass themselves and their fans. There's something to this, actually... if you must win a game to avoid doing the unthinkable, if your only NFL-caliber player is Calvin Johnson, and if you're facing a horrible pass defense... that's the game to highlight.

The Titans are a great team, but there's no way they're a 16-0 team. It seems that takes a literally unstoppable offense ('07 Pats) as well as a stiff defense ('07 Pats, '08 Titans).

I call Lions get a giant upset and beat the Titans week 13, just saying I believe this is a fluke for the Titans.

    Re: More Likely to Happen

If the Lions go 0-16, who would be the worse winless team? The Lions or the 0-14 '76 Bucs?

To give you my answer, it would be the Detroit team. Because if you know your history, many of the Bucs players were cut players from other NFL teams, and also during the expansion draft, NFL teams could hold 29 players and the Bucs would get to pick out of the remaining bunch. Which is essentially saying, the teams can hold their top 29 best players and Tampa would choose from the rest.

And even after that, many players elected to go to the CFL rather than the Bucs.

However with the day of the salary cap, money to be used for scouting and development, the quality of talent in the Free Agent market, College, to go 0-16 in todays game would be an injustice and all personel on the Lions would deserve to be fired.

Ernie Sims and Calvin Johnson can play some football, but no one else on that team is worth a damn. I'd be somewhat surprised if the Lions DIDN'T go 0-16.

The Lions have more than just Sims and Johnson. Aveion Cason is an amazing return man but not very good at RB. They even have a Manny Ramirez on the team lol. Cory Redding doesn't entirely suck. Shaun McDonald is a sweet receiver not like Johnson but is really nice. Everyone else just sucks, but with the upcoming draft hopefully the Lions get some good draft picks, cause there going to be in the top 3 if not first and they got the Cowboys' pick.

    Great post. I agree completely.

Although this Lions team would smear that Bucs team all over the field if they somehow played against each other, relatively speaking, the Lions are far worse. They've had way too many high draft picks, way too much fan support, way too much money and way too many quality FAs that hit the market in the past x years (all of which went to the other 31 teams) to have ANY excuse to go winless.

Good point. If they things continue as planned (0-16), they'll have 3 of the top 33 picks. With a new GM who may have a brain, that could be the start of the improvment.
