    Sure, anything is possible, but there's no real need for a team to count on such a player coming through their system. Instead of waiting for a hitter/pitcher, they can develop hitters and pitchers individually and not have to concern themselves with a two-way player.

    After Rick Ankiel was sent down to the minors in 2001 and was still trying to get back to the majors as a pitcher, he DH'ed in AAA on the days that he wasn't pitching.

    Hey, if switch pitching pitchers currently exist, than I see no reason why DH'ing pitchers cannot exist.
