Wheel of Banishment

Another sports forum I frequent has this, and thought I'd suggest it as an addition here. Basically every Friday, a thread is started (here it would be in the Ejections section) where people have a set amount of time (usually 2 hours after the thread starts) to nominate someone for the wheel of banishment. After the nomination time is over, one of the names is selected at random & the name chosen is banned (or suspended) until Monday morning.

Basically this helps keep non-sense out of the forums, as too much non-sense likely leads to a trip to the wheel of banishment. The names can be wieghted by amoiunt of votes for that person or it can be made that each person can only be added once. Something as simple as a random numbers table can be used to select the winner (or loser).

Hate it... i am in BMO and if I got banished... it would totaly screw 29 other people ESPECIALY since the draft is nearly always on the weekend

And a bad one.

People like "bridgebuilder" can be taken care of on a case by case basis. Besides, spam is spam and it will always lead to a permanent ban.

Nominated on Friday and banned until Monday? That would require people to pay enough attention over the weekend and to actually care enough, which I doubt they do. What about when somebody needs to be banned Monday through Thursday? Plus, it would get boring after awhile if RedsoxRockies was nominated every weekend.
