I would hate to see what would happen to Chicago if the Cubs actually won one. There's always a few that have to ruin it for everyone else

Don't worry, they will never win, so you can be at peace

    He's a Boston fan.
I have nothing against and have never been against 'bandwagon fans'. I think the whole things a joke, and yes was joking myself.

Haha, I just ran a 60 year sim on another baseball sim. Created an entirely fictional world with 24 teams, fictional players, with demographics (size of market, etc.) randomly created, etc, but with real team names.

After 60 years, only 1 of the 24 teams never won the championship, in fact, they never made the playoffs. That team?? The fictional Chicago Cubs.

Even in fictional worlds, the Cubs are doomed.

I have it, on good authority, that most of the celebrants were Canadians, long-despairing of their own various sports teams doing anything notable...

For Heaven's sake, A.B.....what sporting triumph could Montreal possibly have been celebrating?

    Stanley Cup win in '93.

Geez, that video footage etothep just posted looks a LOT like Oilers fans during the Stanley Cup Finals a couple years ago. Aaaah yes...riots, things on fire, mass arrests, police brutality, blood in the streets...AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN WIN.

The last time a Montreal Canadien team won that, was before even I was
    born!

No self-respecting Montrealer would set fire to a car simply because an Anglo team (e.g.Edmonton) won it.

You were born after June of 1993?

That's my version of "I'm only 39" ...anyway, we English will always exaggerate anything, for a laugh!

Frankly, I had forgotten about Montreal's '93 win, or more likely it had never registered with me, since, for many, many years I lost interest in the game, completely (and merely lukewarm about it, now)
