To install this patch, unzip the attached file and copy over your existing FB2K9.exe file.

This includes the following fixes:

1) Trading for draft picks AFTER 'Renew Contracts' doesn't corrupt the draft order (by alphabetizing it).

2) Draft pick years should now be displayed correctly between Super Bowl and draft (that is, you won't think you are trading for the 2011 draft pick and end up getting the 2010 draft pick).

3) The "Go Get" button in the Scouting Report now correctly puts the player in question on the 'Requested Players' list in the Trades Dialog.

I've also made some other cosmetic changes. Specifically, the menus have been adjusted to better match the layout in Baseball Mogul. Also, there is now an option to turn on 'Dark News Page Text' -- this is useful if you'd like to make a skin that features dark text on a light background -- I know that many people don't like the "light on dark" design.

Could someone post 7.040 on this board? Using my mom's Dell desktop 'til around 10 November b/c the motherboard on my HP laptop is toast, causing my wireless Internet to not be recognized anymore.

Please help! When I try and install the patch it says:

"You are missing one or more files, You must have the full version of football mogul to take advantage of the patch, if you have purchased the full version, please reinstall Football. Mogul"

I have purchased the full version and reinstalled it and it is still not working. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone know why? I am running Microsoft Vista.

Did you have the demo installed before you purchased the full version? If so, make sure you uninstall the demo completely and see if that helps.

uninstall the game and completely delete the Football Mogul folder (you can copy your save games, which have a .mog file extension, to the desktop or elsewhere temporarily), then Reinstall.

Make sure EVERYTHING deletes. Not just the main game folder, but also the Registry entries, and the Sports Mogul folder that installs in another section...

Hit Start, go in to the section for your files (for me, Cliff). From there, go to AppData (it's a hidden folder normally, so you have to adjust your settings to let you see it. Click Organize, then go down to Folder and Search Options. In there, go to the View tab, and there's an option to choose to show all folders and files). Now, you'll see AppData. Go in to it, then Local, then VirtualStore, then Program Files. If there's a Sports Mogul folder still in there, delete it.

Sorry for the babbling, but I know when I've had issues with game files remaining, it's because a folder way back in these places gets left behind by the uninstaller.

check the file-path of where you are trying to install the patch as well. The path is different than the path for Sports Mogul files for Baseball...
