My son was at Game Three and is at tonight's game as well.

Hoping for his sake that he gets to see his Phils clinch it tonight.

My favorite McCarver piece "That pitch shows Wheeler's strength as a pitcher...and that is the ability to get guys out."

    Yes. Yes it is.

My pet peeve strikes again. Pena should've been on third base on that fly ball. And with one out, that could've been huge. It doesn't matter that it turned out okay this time, I just get so damn tired of these guys making millions to play a game, and they are only asked to really hustle a few times a day. That's just not too much to ask. If Pena had been stranded at second and the Rays lost the game by one, maybe over the winter more would've been made of it. I'm almost sad it didn't work out that way, cause seeing these guys jog and loaf when they're paid to play is just really old. And I swear, from someone whose followed the game since the 60's, it just wasn't as prevalent then.

No worries now. Longoria drove him in so it doesn't matter that he wasn't smart on the bases.

I think this game is going to be stopped soon, and since it's already official, the Phillies will be the World Champs after a delay. Wonder how that celebration will occur???

They ain't stopping this game. It's playing out no matter what.

This is some of the worst umpiring I've ever seen. That third "strike" to Iwamura was a foot outside at least. The Rays have had a couple calls go their way this series, but a VAST majority have gone against them.....I wouldn't not be happy at all this this effort by the umps if I were Maddon. Inexcusable.
