    Well, that second play was actually well done. He had no play, but he kept the ball in the infield, preventing a run.

    McCarver just said that the long lay off for Sonnanstine (sp?) hasn't "affected his effectiveness, but has affected his control."


    What????? Isn't having control kinda important in being effective???

    Three unearned runs, and one run from a missed call at third base. Not sure the Phillies are so much winning as the Rays are losing.

    EDIT: WHOOPS. MY bad. I thought it was two outs when Ryan hit the HR. It was only one out. So only one of the three runs will be unearned, meaning a total of two unearned runs for the game.

    Everything that needed to go right for the Phillies in order for them to win the series is...particularly Moyer and Blanton shutting down the Rays offense.
