That was a horrible call. It's stupid calls like this that will end up getting replay expanded. Just a horrible call. Besides which, I'm not sure the pitch wasn't a strike to begin with, not to mention the fact he obviously swung.

According to K-zone it was low and outside, but definitely a swing

So what? Just because we could overturn the call doesn't mean that we should. Let the ups call the game... it's part of the game!

I still think the Dodgers were the better team.

It may be my homerism, but I agree...

And it it may be my homerism again, but it looked like the Dodgers outplayed the Phillies for over half of the total innings. In Games 1 and 5 (especially 5), the Dodgers embarrassed the Phillies for 90% of the game... but lost.

But they didn't hold their leads, and they didn't plate their runners as often as they should have.

And that's baseball. Without a score, it would have looked like the Dodgers outplayed the Phillies for over half of the total playing time, but the Phillies did exactly what they needed to do to put the Dodgers away. Essentially, the Phillies played better baseball, but I do believe the Dodgers were a better team, and I think a lot of people felt the same way. Both experts and laymen.

However, even if you have FAR better starting pitching than your opponent, an almost equal bullpen, and an equal lineup 1-8, if Russell Martin is batting cleanup, you're destined to not win the series. Just sayin'...

Tim McCarver just referred to Jason Werth's double as a "check swing plop job," which: ewww, and then he talked about Ben Zobrist racing to the line to grab said plop job by saying, "Gives you an idea about the closure [sic] speed of the Rays' outfielders." Why is Tim McCarver allowed to broadcast?
