I think he was just simply saying that they aren't good enough to make this a quick series, not that the Phillies aren't that good of a team overall.

You're still misinterpreting it.

It's not that the Phillies are a bad team, it's that they don't match up well with the Rays in terms of pitching. The Phillies' starters beyond Hamels are very average and fairly inconsistent.

OOHHHH MAAAN. I could still scream over that game. I did a LOT of screaming during that game. I still think that game cost the series for the Dodgers, even more so than blowing the 5-3 lead in game 4.

I know I would've taken Billingsly and (dammit, just forgot who gave up the third hit to him) whoever gave up the third hit to Myers out to the proverbial woodshed for that. That's just a lapse in concentration. THREE TIMES ! Ok, here's the pitcher, don't have to bear down here. WRONG.
