Does anyone know who was the Non-Major Leaguer on Team USA original 28-man Roster?

    Re: Wbc

Props to the US for their comeback...However WTF was up with J.C. Romero tonight? Almost every weekend warrior softball type I've ever played with and against takes games way more seriously than he appeared to be tonight. I don't think I'm the only one that noticed this. The smile he had on his face while he was on the mound is probably best suited for, I don't know, shagging flies in the OF before the game, not for when you're entire country is pulling for you to get the final 3 outs in an elimination game you have a two run lead in against the USA. Perhaps the problem is that he was even pitching in the ninth in the first place i.e. weak back end of the bullpen.

Hey J.C., you lollygag your "pickoff" throw over to Carlos Delgado and almost put it down the line. You lollygag your attempt to catch Carlos' return throw. You lollygag and laugh your way all around the mound. You know what that makes you?

I just hope that Puerto Ricans don't see it the same way as I do for his sake because I hear they like their beisbol down there. They might be a little upset with what appeared to me to be indifference.

Remember, had a non-Mets player come through with the big hit, metsguy would've been able to maintain his composure, but it was David effen Wright and uh, well metsguy lost his sh*t. Y'know it happens. Of course if David Wright slips on a banana peel and fractures his skull in the clubhouse in Florida or Los Angeles, metsguy will be right back on the "WBC sucks a$$" bandwagon in no time.

    LOL

    Good stuff.

But seriously, metsguy, for someone who likes to claim that they hate the WBC, don't care about it, etc. you're sure following it intensely and getting emotionally vested in it. Look at me, for example. I DON"T care about the WBC...hence, I've barely watched it, and don't give a rat's ass who wins.

Why would he not care? The desire to win is still there, regardless of whether the game matters or not.

Isn't Romero suspended the first 50 games anyway?

    Yep.

Which means they mattered MORE to Romero.

And if someone thinks it didn't matter to Romero, they missed the chest thumping he did after he got out of the 8th.
