The term "unruly mob" also comes to mind. It could've gotten real ugly down there in Mexico if the Aussies had pulled another "Double Dutch". That doesn't necessarily explain this pasting though. Perhaps the Aussies just ran out of gas. They were probably playing a little over their heads in the previous two games and things just caught up with them. They don't have the pitching and defense of the Dutch, so it was probably only a matter of time. I would say the only surprise team heading to Round 2 is the Dutch, but that doesn't mean the first week hasn't been full of surprises. Great tournament so far. Definitely looking forward to the next two rounds.

The only crappy thing about that is that it was against Australia and South African pitchers only; in Mexico City where they have turf and the park isn't that big despite the elevation.
