    If Boston wins the series...

I suggest we start a boycott of all MLB games and merchandise. Let them know that we aren't okay with Boston beating Tampa Bay. Let them know that Boston should be in the World Series no longer!

    Who's "we"?

Besides, I betcha fully half the people in "the Trop" rooting for the Rays weren't even baseball fans a couple of weeks ago. If the Sox win, they'll be over it before they leave the parking lot...

I kind of agree. I'm getting a little tired of seeing and hearing about the Red Sox. It's even making me miss the Yankees winning pennants and world championships.

If ESPN didn't cover the Sox 24/7, it wouldn't be as bad or annoying.

Then boycott all of the other Major League Baseball teams that weren't good enough to make it to the postseason.

I agree on that one. Some of the people in the stands made it look like it was an "eternity" for the Rays, even though they've only been around for a decade.

Well, they cover the teams that people pay attention to. Love them or hate them, every time people watch them on ESPN, or click an article to read about what type of tampons Manny Ramirez uses, or how amazing Kevin Youkilis is, it shows you're still interested. It's like a Hollywood train wreck... the better a team gets, the harder it is for people to just ignore them.

Exactly. And this is why I really want them to quit winning and become the east coast Cubs once again.

They were a fun and exciting team to watch in 2004. I enjoyed that playoff run. In 2007, they were a very good team, and even though the WS ended up being a waste of my time to watch, it was nice to see baseball's best team thoroughly own all of baseball.

But this season it's just getting old. I haven't seen a defending champ get as much publicity as Boston has this season, since the Yankees were owning baseball.

Now if they pull this one out, we get to hear about "clutch" and "scrapping" and "playoff experience" for yet another year.

    Go Rays!

    Why would you boycott MLB?

What in the heck would that do?

Guys, I highly doubt metsguy is being serious about boycotting MLB.

The point seems to be, he doesn't want to see any more of the Red Sox. And I'm with him on that.

ESPN covers whos winning...but yes they have a bit of bias i agree.

Everyone hates on the team winning consistently. If individually you realize this occurrence, that its not random its expected...maybe you guys can get over your hatred of it/them as regardless if you admit it or not...at least a small part of the hatred is jeolousy. It's OK to root against them, but you gotta give em props. They are a good run organization without a bunch of thug troublemakers.

I've been where you guys are...hating on the cowboys, yankees, 49's, Patriots, Bulls, Tiger Woods, and to a lesser extent the Braves & Bills. Boston is constantly in the news due mostly to the success of all their sports franchises of late.

the Red Sox are going to back to back titles. They are the best team this decade. Of course they are going to cover them.

This is dumb. And ESPN wasn't on the Yankees jock in the 90's when they were winning, right?

Well I like the Sox, since the Dodgers lost, I'm rooting for Boston to go back-to-back. Not really fans of the Rays. I agree with cartman, they are the best team of this decade.

They won 2 championships and they're the best team? Try winning 4 championships and 6 pennants in 8 years. Then you're a dynasty.
