    a Veritek?

Is he a switch hitter? I thought he was at one point.

And which is his natural side right or left?

I was just wondering because he's been so bad hitting lately, that as his coach I would make him bat from his natural side and I just noticed him batting left handed and was wondering if thats is natural side.

ugh it horribly painfull to watch him bat, it getting toward Mays in a Mets Uni status -- I would have felt better with Carlos Zambrano up.

he's more natural right-handed, but right now, he could go up there with a tree and not hit it.

Yeh, I agree with you all. I love the guy and everything, but, jeez, how low do the production numbers have to go before you're no longer a "switch hitter"?

Strictly speaking, I guess I'm a switch-hitter, too. I can go up there, hold the bat as a lefty and not hit sh-t, either.

But, dammit, I can bat from both sides of the plate!

Well he's clutch, just drilled a homer, GO VARITEK! He needs to bat left handed more often.

Yup, I guess one of the risks/conditions of throwing your opinion up on a discussion group is that, occasionally, you may have to eat your words.

    Good job 'Tek.

And from the left side of the plate, too, just to rub it in.

even a broken clock is right twice a day.

all kidding aside, I do love the guy. I just wish he could hit better.

Hey, he homered last night, and he is betetr than Zambrano. Zambrano can hit, but if he played every day we would learn he is overated. He does not walk and he hits for less average thn Tek
