And yet another sportswriter gets Boston history wrong....

    http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/27190611/

"Put another way, is there a Dave Roberts on this team? In Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS against the Yankees, Roberts set up a game-tying Boston rally by stealing second with two out in the ninth. Had he been out, Boston's season was over. They'd have been swept by a team with a history of humiliating them."

Steve Buckley works for the Herald and wrote that??

I guess whats wrong is that Roberts stole second with no outs? Anything else?

His point is well taken, however. If Roberts is caught stealing, Boston probably loses, and is swept by the hated Yankees. Instead, the Sox made history.

I expect a BOSTON sportswriter to know what happened.* But yeah...you're right and Francona himself has said that was one of the most important moments of the series.

*Dumb stuff like that makes me mad....like those FOX commercials last year showing the Boston fans smiling and laughing because Buckner was about to make the out. NO ONE was smiling at laughing at that point.

LOl....you are so right. I watched the "Buckner game". Believe me, laughing was the furthest thing from my mind.

Really? I remember an ESPN one for sports center with Bill Buckner. There must have been two different ones
