And such players tend to be incredibly underrated because they don't have one skill that sticks out.

Anyway, Rollins isn't in the same group as them. Pedroia and Jeter both had real strong arguments for MVP. Rollins had...was on a playoff team, was good, and promised a division championship.

I think pedroia won more games for Boston than Hamilton won for Texas. Which in my opinion makes him more valuable than Hamilton

Uh? What? No. I said that the argument for Rollings was that he "was on a playoff team, was good, and promised a division championship." And that's not a strong argument.

And I voted Lester 3rd behind Lee and Halladay. 10th best candidate? Get real. 16-6, 3.21 ERA, 143 ERA+, 210.1 innings...yeah, that's freakin good. He was 4th in the AL in ERA+ behind Lee, Matsuzaka, and Halladay. Matsuzaka gets major demerits for only pitching 167 innings, plus I can't look past the fact that he put a ton of runners on base.

Sorry, there is NO WAY that there were 10 better pitchers in the AL than Jon Lester, even if you don't think he was third best, there's NO way he's worse than 10 other guys.
