And such players tend to be incredibly underrated because they don't have one skill that sticks out.

Anyway, Rollins isn't in the same group as them. Pedroia and Jeter both had real strong arguments for MVP. Rollins had...was on a playoff team, was good, and promised a division championship.

Most VALUABLE Player... would Boston be in there if not for Pedroia. NO
Would Texas still have sucked without Hamilton... yes.

I think pedroia won more games for Boston than Hamilton won for Texas. Which in my opinion makes him more valuable than Hamilton
Most ignorant statement ever. The best player IS the most valuble. If the Rangers didn't have Hamilton, they'd have about 10 more losses, or more. The only reason Pedroia won is because he's on a good team. Is it Josh Hamilton's fault Texas has no pitching? You people make me sick.

    uh... you already said that.
Let's take it easy with statements like "You people make me sick." too, please.

So you're saying that Rollins had no strong argument for MVP, but that he had a strong argument for MVP last year. That makes loads of sense, HGM

Whoever voted Willy Taveras for Silver Slugger needs to really think about that.

LOL! Who voted Willy and his around 600ish OPS Silver Slugger!?? They are genius! Why listen to logic when you can use steals as a batting stat! Genius!

Who voted Jon Lester for Cy Young is a better question... he's like 10th best candidate in his league...

And... who voted Bengie Molina for MVP?

HoustonGM did. And I would've had him somewhere between 4-6 on my own ballot.

Uh? What? No. I said that the argument for Rollings was that he "was on a playoff team, was good, and promised a division championship." And that's not a strong argument.

And I voted Lester 3rd behind Lee and Halladay. 10th best candidate? Get real. 16-6, 3.21 ERA, 143 ERA+, 210.1 innings...yeah, that's freakin good. He was 4th in the AL in ERA+ behind Lee, Matsuzaka, and Halladay. Matsuzaka gets major demerits for only pitching 167 innings, plus I can't look past the fact that he put a ton of runners on base.

Sorry, there is NO WAY that there were 10 better pitchers in the AL than Jon Lester, even if you don't think he was third best, there's NO way he's worse than 10 other guys.
