Tampa would make for a great story, but I think Boston will win. And despite the Rays' appeal as the new kids on the block, I have to believe that the TV/media pukes are on their knees praying for a Dodgers-Red Sox WS. You've got East Coast vs. West Coast, Manny's new team against his old one, Joe Torre managing against Boston again, replays of Kirk Gibson, etc. TV would be milking that matchup for all it's worth. Whereas a Phillies-Rays matchup would have only the Rays underdog appeal going for it. It's something, but not much. Nobody outside Philadelphia cares about the Phillies.

Sadly... I think this is true.

I think it applies to all their teams. Especially since T.O. left.

I hope the Sox win, but the Rays have made a believer out of me. I view the series as relatively even. I hope it goes 7 games.

Boston is getting their head beat in, 11-1 Rays in the 6th. Looks like the Rays will be up 3 games to 1!

Things do not look so good for Boston. Down 3 games to 1, they fall behind 2-0 without even getting an out.

In MLB history, only 11 teams have ever trailed 3-1 in games and yet won a 7 game series (of something like 71 times a team trailed 3-1). Strangely, Boston has already accomplished the feat three times... more than any other team in history.

Wonder if they can make it 4 times...

Freaking Rays are on fire...5-0 now. Tampa Bay appears to be THE team this year.

My gawd, what a game. Considering the circumstances, I would say that is the greatest single game comeback in postseason history.

Momentum has to be on the Sox side, even though they're going back to Tampa Bay for games 6 and 7.
