    Economic Left/Right: -5.62
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.92
Moving farther to the left and more libertarian

Could be a case of psychological priming, as I was talking to a friend about her trip to Ghana earlier.

Ah, I liked this quiz. Thanks for bringing this thread back. I have taken it twice before, so I had to dig up those results. There was another thread on this where I posted the results of one of the quizzes. As before, I'm moving more to the right.

What impacts the quiz the most are the answers where you feel "strongly" for or against something. Mainly for future reference, I'm going to list the answers that I feel that way about, since I didn't record that last time (and I wish I did). Feel free to do the same, if you wish.

    Page 2
The rich are too highly taxed. (Strongly Agree) [Then again, I feel that everybody is too highly taxed.]

Those with the ability to pay should have the right to higher standards of medical care. (Strongly Agree)

The freer the market, the freer the people. (Strongly Agree)

    Page 3
An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. (Strongly Agree)

Possessing marijuana for personal use should not be a criminal offence. (Strongly Agree)

People with serious inheritable disabilities should not be allowed to reproduce. (Strongly Agree)

Those who are able to work, and refuse the opportunity, should not expect society's support. (Strongly Agree)

    Page 4
The death penalty should be an option for the most serious crimes. (Strongly Agree)

In criminal justice, punishment should be more important than rehabilitation. (Strongly Agree)

It is a waste of time to try to rehabilitate some criminals. (Strongly Agree)

    Page 5
Charity is better than social security as a means of helping the genuinely disadvantaged. (Strongly Agree)

It is important that my child's school instills religious values. (Strongly Disagree)

    Page 6
Pornography, depicting consenting adults, should be legal for the adult population. (Strongly Agree)

What goes on in a private bedroom between consenting adults is no business of the state. (Strongly Agree)

Really? So rich people deserve better health care than poor people?

Where did you find the other thread?

This one that RSR started after this thread. I knew I had taken the quiz more than once before this, so I just searched for "libertarian" and "right" since I figured I had typed those before in discussing it.

So if you've taken it before, save/copy the image and post it here to compare.

    Re: The Political Compass

    I went from:

    Economic Left/Right: 1.75
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 3.03

    TO THIS:

    Economic Left/Right: 2.88
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 3.28

    TO THIS:

    Economic Left/Right: 2.75
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.64

Pretty significantly moved more Libertarian but barely any change left to right.

That's usually how it goes. Most people start getting more and more liberal to a point, then they tread back toward the middle and sometimes over to the right as they get older.

    As Winston Churchill once said:

“If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain.”
