    A quick note David Aldrige (who primarily covers basketball, poorly) pointed out that Pujols shouldn't win the award because his team only had the 5th best record in the NL ...

    .. granted he also pointed out that the only other person who deserves the NL CY young, other than Sabathia, is Lidge, cuz y'know "he was perfect."

    That's a worse argument, by far, than "Pujols shouldn't win because his team didn't make the playoffs."
