Manny quit on the red Sox to get traded. And he only played a half a year for the team. He shouldn't even be mentioned in the conversation.

    Nobody mentioned Manny

And Manny sure has a weird way of "quitting." I guess Manny's idea of "quitting" is "hitting."

Look at Gryfyn talking about the Dodgers and a trade. I do not know who he could be "implying'

Yeah, it's not even as if Manny Ramirez sucked for the Red Sox this year.

He hit better after he got to L.A.

Mark Teixeira hit better after he went to L.A. too. Did he quit on the Braves?

A lot of players perform better (or worse) after being traded. Randy Johnson in 1998 comes to mind as well after he was traded to Houston and just DOMINATED. And C.C. this year. I don't think either of them "quit" on their former teams.

If Pujols doesn't win the MVP and Howard does I've had it with considering these awards even worth anything.

Albert is the MVP, hands down.

No, but the way Manny handled his situation before the trade was deplorable.

The Red Sox got Jason Bay who did pretty well too, so it's not like they're crying about it.

Actually it was sarcasm to show how stupid people who value a team performance in the equation of how well a guy played.

It is the point. A lot of athletes take their status for granted and act like babies when they do not get their way. Manny Ramirez and T.O. are the top two that come to mind.

The Red Sox didn't have to trade him, so they made the choice to do that. It's not like Manny got up in the middle of the night and left them without a hitter in the middle of the lineup. They're not complaining about the trade anymore, so I don't see why anybody else needs to either.

I dunno, the guy he has bolded in big letters at the bottom of his post?

And it was a joke, anyway.

Yeah, that is what happens when you move to the weaker league.
