    That's great news, oriole. Out of curiosity, what exactly is the recovery timetable for a 'regular person', as opposed to what we've come to expect from a pro athlete?

    Probably a full year, from those I know who've had it done. Abby is an athlete, though, and young; they're saying six to nine months.

    Well, that doesn't sound too bad at all, actually. So, I'd imagine she's in a cast right now? Or do they just dress the area and brace it?

    It's wrapped, tightly. She can bend the knee, but since that hurts, she ain't doin' it. The doctor said that the most movement she should be doing is a slow roll of her ankle.

    That's good news. Hopefully she doesn't push it and speed the recovery process along too fast. I made that mistake when I was younger, and had to have surgery again, but that's two different people in two different sports.
