K-Rod is probably in the mix too, but I've read that they're not considering him. Which is a bad decision IMO since Wagner is out all of next season too.
I don't know about that. From all the "Teixeira" speculation posts(on like Mlbtraderumors, etc.), I haven't heard a lot about the Mets in the mix. I see more Yankees, Orioles, Angels, and teams like that

I think they might sign Dunn or Burrell for leftfield(just speculation), and possibly get Hudson for secnod

Yeah, I've read that they probably not be in the mix for Rodriguez, but I heard they like Fuentes

Now the Dodgers get the Cubs...

I was hoping for a 7 game series hosted by Chicago, so I was kind of rooting for the Mets so L.A. would get the Phils in 5 instead. 7 games would have been less an advantage for a Cub team that's an absolute monster at home.

Still, it'll be a good series.

Brewers and Phillies should be a good series as well. Both teams are carrying some momentum.

The Mets probably would have been destroyed by the Cubs. Bullpen collapses vs. late-game rallies does not sound like a good matchup for the former.

That's true, the front of their rotation isn't bad. But with these embarrassing collapses at the ends of the past two seasons that they will want to add another ace caliber pitcher. Especially when you consider how well C.C. performed for the Brewers down the stretch, and his entire tenure really. Maybe it won't be C.C. they go after, but I think you'll see them at least add a guy like Burnett or Sheets.

Actually they have an option for 16M on Delgado or a 3M buyout, his late season surge will probably entice them to pick up the option.

The Mets have no closer and Krod is a FA and have a new revenue stream so they can do something crazy like 6 years 90M.

2nd they will make a run at a corner OF (unless your confident in the Ryan Church/ Endy Chavez era). for those that missed it Manny Rameriz will be a FA, he Latino and Minaya just got an extension ..... connect the dots.

After that they may try to add a middle of the Rotation guy, Sheets if his price fall under injury concerns or a guy like Loshe.

I'll still put my money on the Mets making a play for Tex'.

Strange coincidence that both New York teams miss the playoffs in the same season they say farewell to basically the only ballpark they've ever played in.

Well it's true. The teams that made it this year are just... ridiculous...

The Rays? Milwaukee? Minnesota or Chicago? The Dodgers? The Phillies? The Cubs?

This will make for a godawful postseason that like 5 people will watch.
