Is this the game for me?

I've wanted a good football sim game for a while now. Football Mogul looked interesting, and when I saw 2007 for about 5 bucks or so at a store about a month ago, I picked it up to see what it was like. But, it seemed incredibly slow compared to Baseball Mogul (Which I love) and I was hoping for it to be faster. I didnt like it very much

So, is 2k9 any better with this, or is it still really slow?

Its still pretty slow. In comparison to '07, I don't know because I didn't play '07.

However, although it is pretty slow, I wouldn't let the sim speed get in the way of what is a fun game.

Is it any faster than say, Franchise mode on Madden? (Saynig I simulate everything on Madden)

I don't have this year's version of Madden, but I do have last year's and I would say its faster than that.

I love the game because of its simplicity. however, I do hope they come out with a patch soon to fix problems with the draft etc...
