But I think USC would win...especially if it were in LA Coliseum or a neutral site.
USC would probably be 15 point favorites. They do have the better team, talent-wise, but a few mistakes on their part could give the game away.

There's still lots of football left to be played, but I think the BYU team may be good enough not only to be in the "crash" conversation, but even for national championship consideration. It won't happen, though. It'd take way too many losses by way too many other teams.

And Florida flopping last season? This Gator team is 10 times better then last years. Especially the defense. I could see Florida beating Georgia.
Florida is the only championship competitor I haven't watched play yet... but I remember them looking pretty bad at times last season. They look good in highlights, but it's really hard for me to judge them beyond knowing how they played last season, and reading about them this season.

Plus Death Valley is going to be tough for ANY team. Georgia will have an incredibly hard time winning that game.
I think they're a considerably superior team to LSU, but I agree completely. That's a tough game to win.

Well compared to Wyo, CSU, SDSU those four look pretty good

The Pac-10 is pretty bad this year. A down year for a usually very competitive conference. But they will be back.
They should bounce back, and I hope they do. The Pac 10 is my favorite conference to watch when it's competitive. I really thought Cal could challenge USC. I thought UW was good. I thought ASU would have been a surprise team this season, and challenge USC as well.

It's really all about the SEC and the Big 12 this year. If USC coasts through the rest of their season, someone from one of those two conferences is going to get robbed in bowl game selection.

That is the only reason that USC will not win the National Championship: if they make too many mistakes. I watched both of their games so far, and they looked dominant. If they show up to play every week until January, there's going to be no stopping them.

If they do falter, I'm looking for Georgia (if they survive that tough schedule) or whoever comes out of the SEC to win it all.

Their D is what looked the worst last year. But they are way better. I think they could beat Georgia.

I don't have the confidence you have in Georgia. They struggled against a South Carolina team that got murdered by Vanderbilt. I don't know if Georgia can win that rocky road. If they do, then I guess I am wrong but right now I don't see them getting out of Death Valley or Florida with wins.

As a Florida fan, I can tell you that we are much better than we were last year. The defense was awful last year; it's vastly improved this season. The offense doesn't look quite as explosive as it did before, but we have a seemingly endless supply of weapons. On special teams, Brandon James is absolutely unreal..he's already returned 2 punts for touchdowns.

And despite all of our problems last season, 3 of the 4 games we lost were decided by 7 points or less.

So I think we have a legitimate shot to go all the way this season, but there's still a long way to go. I'm more worried about LSU than Georgia.
Now run and tell ya mama 'bout that!

Everyone has a bad game. But USC couldn't afford one right now.

I guess it's better to get the loss out of the way now and maybe hope to win out and get your name back in the picture.

Agreed, but the bad thing is that USC is going to have no remaining games against a Top 15 team that could gain them more credibility.

I still see the SEC Champion playing in the title game. I'll say Georgia for now, but Florida and LSU could be there. I'll also go with the Big 12 champ, Oklahoma/Missouri.

And Florida got dropped today by an unlikely SEC team, Ole Miss.

Texas Tech? Seriously? They have played NOBODY yet. I know they have a nice offense, but lets see them play someone with a pulse.
