Are they planning on doing something like the Yanks did?

Well the Mets don't have the history the Yankees have, so I doubt it

Your first post kind of implies that you think they ARE doing something...and we're just wondering if they are...

And none of them can match the people the Yankees brought in tonight

I mean they are good players, but face it, bring those Mets back won't even come close to the people the Yankees brought back. Not to mention the history of Yankee Stadium is much better than Shea's history.

It just won't be the same.

I dunno if they are, I hope they are... they certainly have enough history at Shea to do something like that.

You're going to care during the last game at Wrigley, whenever that is.

Wrigley's in the same category as Yankee Stadium, really. Shea isn't.

You're saying Shea doesn't have history?

Shea isn't 'storied' the way that Yankee Stadium and Wrigley are. Frankly, they might be the last 2 ballparks that can even be described that way. There aren't many venues like that left in sports.

Actually, when you think about it, Shea actually has more history then Wrigley.

    4 pennants to 2 pennants
2 championships to 1 championship (maybe 0, when did Wrigley open?)
