sniff.....goodbye sweet stadium!
sniff.....goodbye sweet stadium!
I'll drink to that!
I actually got a chance to see a game there on Friday. I took my dad down (a die-hard Red Sox fan, as am I) for his 50th birthday present.
Honestly, it was a great time, and it is a great stadium. I'm just so glad I got to see one of baseball's cathedrals before it closed.

Even though I think New York is dirty and I hate it, I wish I got to go to Yankee Stadium at least once. But I drove by it, so at least I saw it.

You didn't miss much. It was very dirty. But that's what I loved about it. It reminded me of New York. The real New York. Not the New York full of yuppies and tourist, but the New York full of passion and people that weren't afraid to show the way they feel. And although the new stadium will be beautiful, it will never take away the memories of great game, and high-fiving complete strangers after a highly dramatic win. The fans screaming and cursing at the Red Sox left-fielder, whether it's the highly vilified Man-Ram, or the decent Jason Bay. I always had great memories there and I'll always miss it.
