Roster Update (attached)

Attached is a new copy of the "Universe.dat" file. This file contains the player database for Football Mogul 2009.

I'm going to call this "The Roethlisberger Patch". We discovered that Ben Roethlisberger was omitted from the rosters included in the original version of the game because of a bug that truncated last names with more than 12 letters.

And we noticed that three players with "Jr." in their official name (e.g. "Ted Ginn Jr.") were omitted because of a problem with the database. I've also added about 20 more rookies, including key starters like Matt Forte, Eddie Royal and DeSean Jackson.

If you bought the game after 5:00 pm on Sunday, you already have this file.

To use this new file, copy "Universe.dat" over your existing copy of "Universe.dat". If you installed Football Mogul 2009 to the default location, you should be able to find this file in the following folder:

C:\Sports Mogul\Football Mogul 2009

Had some problems posting it. Forgot that I can't post a ".dat" file. It's there now, but you'll have to unzip it.

edit: it's also telling me to reinstall football mogul...how the hell do i do that it was a download...

When you bought the game, you should have download a file with a name like this:

FootballMogul2009v7030setup.exe

Windows probably put this file on your desktop. If not, you find your order receipt in your e-mail and that will give you instructions to download again.

If you've lost the receipt e-mail, send us an e-mail.

I would bet that, if you have Vista, it put the setup file in your personal downloads section. Hit the Windows button in the lower left, and at the top of the list on the right, you should see your user name there as an option. Hit that, and one of the submenus in the section that opens up should be called Downloads. Check in there.
