I've never seen anything like that in baseball

What AJ just did in the Rays game. That was a soccer flop. I've never seen that before. Incredible.

In a rundown (In the Chisox-Rays game) AJ threw his arm out an leaned into a fielder, then flopped as if he had been interfered with. I detest soccer nowadays because of crap like that.

That's one of the all-time worst calls ever. If that would've happened in the postseason, it would've been right up there with the Yankee HR against Baltimore where that Mayer (sp?) kid caught the ball in play or whatever. Since it happened in the regular season...it'll be forgotten..but that was just beyond stupid. What that umpire could've possibly seen is beyond me.

Yep, my sentiments too. And now my regard for him just got lower. That was just one big acting job. That's bullcrap, and too bad it happened on a Sunday when the Rays don't play them again tomorrow. Otherwise, I would love to have seen his first AB after that flop job.

I actually hate him almost as much as Jeter, and he and Ozzie Guillien are the main reasons that I hate the White Sox. He is a lier, a jerk, an inconsiderate cheapskate who always tries to do stupid stuff like this. I loved it when Michael Barrett punched him in the face. But I hate Barrett too........

Why hate AJ for that? Blame the umpire. AJ is trying to do whatever he can to get his team a win. If he can flop and get away with it, then why not do it? The only blame goes on the ump.

I have always hated AJ. This is not what started it. He has an awful personality, and even a lot of the players hate him

While I agree the blame goes on the umps for blowing the call, AJ deserves flak for doing it in the first place. I don't suppose you would suggest blaming the police for not catching a bankrobber and him getting away with it would you? After all, he was just trying to help his family get food and live better. No, that was a lowball play by AJ, and if they had to face each other tomorrow, well, I know what would've happened to him the first time up back in the day. Not so sure these days.

    But I would've been watching.
