It's amazing (For Red Sox fans)

How losing a certain cancer... and going 10-3 since getting rid of said tumor can make what was an annoying, grinding season into a fun one.

And another thing. No one has to replace Manny when:

Bay makes up a good chunk of the production.
Youk is lights out in the second half, which he never was before.
Pedroia is even better than he was last year.
Drew is better than he was last year
    Lowrie is better than Lugo

Right now, even without Manny and Ortiz slumping all year (Despite the three HR's recently) The Sox have about the same number of runs they did last year.

Dodgers 8 - 5 with Manny. Having fun. Playing loose.

Manny hitting .438 with 5 HR and 1.355 OPS since joining L.A.

Fili's prediction: Manny walk off jack against Paplebon in game 7 of the W.S.

No, Manny will run the bases backwards and get out, and then lose the ball in his dreds, giving Boston the World Series

No one in the NL will be walking off against anyone in game 7 of the W.S. this year.

Manny can't walk off Game 7 of the series. AL has home field

I am glad Manny is having a good time in LA. I'm sure his dreds don't get on Torre's nerves. But I honestly think he's playing because he's a FA...if he was long-term with the dodgers, he'd fnid something to be upset about (may be Boras influence, as we've discussed).

Sox are having an amazing run, and the schedule looks like they could take the division. Byrd makes it even better. Real threat is the Angels, assuming we can hold off the Rays or they tank due to injuries. Although, Baldelli's back...

Pffth. Rays have Crawford and Longoria on the DL. Just how many runs do they lose with those two gone?

Not quite as much as the Yankees lost when A-Rod, Damon, Posada, and Matsui went on the DL (Matsui and Posada will be there all season).

Losing Longoria is the big hit. Crawford wasn't having an especially good year offensively, though the defense will take a slight hit without him.
