So I decided to buy the football game. I am a hug fan of the baseball game and Goal Line Blitz is only good every other day. So I tried to make my own team and despite my team name of the Beer Town Brawlers, the game wants to call me "The Autobots". I'm also wondering if I am somehow missing the option to see a players game by game stats like the baseball game had (or is it just not in the game?)

Did I just pay $20 for an incomplete game?

So that's a yes, I purchased a game that is no where near as complete as the baseball version. Thank you for the intelligent response. I am aware there is a demo version. I downloaded the demo version. Most of the advanced things I wanted were "only available in the full version."

Yes seriously. I paid for a game and I expected something I didn't get. I've purchased the last two MLB games and created my own teams. I've always been able to change the name and it stay changed. Why would I expect something so simple to not be in the football game.

FYI: Clay (unlike... anyone) actually has a Full Refund/Return policy. On that basis alone, you won't find much support here for complaints.

Regardless, I just want to get this straight. You rename an otherwise default team to "Beer Town Brawlers", but when you exit the editor the team's name become "The Autobots"? What team did you rename?

Okay, I'm a little confused (easy to do). I want to enter the football world but team customization is a huge deal for me. Does anyone know if I buy Football Mogul '09 will I be able to create my own custom named/graphics team?

FYI, the team name isn't being changed to "Autobots". That's just the team logo that's being used in the lower left-hand corner. It's the generic team name that our artist Chris thought up. Your actual team name should still display correctly at every other point in the game.

If you want to provide a logo graphic for your team, add it in the 'logos' folder with the name matching your team's home city (e.g. "Hartford.png" or "Beer City.png").

The 'Autobots' art is contained in a file in the logos folder called 'LOGO_filler.png'. If Football Mogul can't find a logo for a team, it will show LOGO_filler. If you replaced "LOGO_filler.png", it will use the new art.

The right logo is showing in exported html files for me, but not in the game, even though my team's city name is the same as one NFL team.

There also seem to be issues when editing the league. I created a team and put it in the NFL North, but for some reason, it was moved to the AFC East. A fifth team was added to the NFC North, but the name is blank, and when clicking on it, it brought me to a non-existent team page.

I also tried making a 12-team league, but then again, it created a mess, with more than half the teams not showing on the standings, draft results all messed up....but aside from those issues, I really liked what I've seen so far, but as I'm more of a fictional league gamer, I'm a bit disappointed with those bugs.

I've had the exact same problem (random (?) divisional assignments for fictional teams) as Iron, posted this issue both on the General Discussion Forum and on the Bug Reports Forum, and have gotten no acknowledgement/answer on either thread. The only thing that's happened is that my Bug Report thread title was changed (the words "Bug Report" were removed) by someone.

I purchased this game for the sole purpose of creating a fictional league with fictional players because the FM main page advertises that functionality, and I have no interest in playing with an NFL league. And I can't even get past the initial league setup without, what I feel is, a major problem.

I would be glad to use a workaround if one exists for this issue, but no one has replied to either of my threads.

There's no bug, you simply need to add some art.

Where are the responses to the bug reports? My issues haven't been addressed.
