    Koolzach's BM09 Rosters

I have been keeping these rosters to myself for quite some time, and updating them pretty much daily. These rosters are mainly based on this season, but I also take into account the player's career norm. I especially took into account the player's last 2 seasons, but the main thing I based the rosters off is the 2008 MLB season. I have also been updating prospects and have added a couple of prospects that came outta no where to contribute this season.

If you have any problems with any of the players, just post on here and let me know of it. Some of the ratings may seem a little high, but I really tried to make the (BM) sim of 2008 like the real (MLB) 2008 season. I usually get fairly realistic results when simming with my rosters.

I started with HoustonGM's rosters and did quite a bit of editing (pretty much every player). So, a special thanks to HoustonGM for his original rosters (which are awesome, btw).

Hope everyone likes the rosters, and enjoys them,

    Zach

well they are ok, but how come they aren't updated with all of the trades from this current season? You need to make all of the moves for them to be better IMO. But good work, it's always nice to have a couple of different people making edits.

Well, I really don't like using rosters that have been updated through the trade deadline and whatnot. It takes a LOT away from the realism, seeing as how if I updated the rosters as of today, you will be starting on April 1st anyways, so some team's will be better, while some will be worse.

I suppose that I could make a 2nd roster available on this thread with the updated trades.

Opening Day rosters are the best...for example, when you sim, it doesn't sim the exact same season. General Managers make a trade based on where they are at. So if the Red Sox were in 5th Place...they would be selling. If the Tigers were in first place, they would have never traded Pudge, or if Pudge was hitting .300...ect. there are countless examples...

    I would tend to agree.

Like, if Posada would've never gotten hurt, Pudge would never have been traded to the Yanks.

making two files appeases the whole now. I like up to date rosters, because I usually make a few trades but for the most part I want players on their current teams, but a lot of people prefer to start at opening day. good work.

Like the starting 08 roster but the up to date roster was good but I felt like some ratings were off so it took me awhile but I fixed them. You also left a few people on teams rosters that had been released or something.

Yeah, for the up-to-date rosters, I didn't completely get 'em up to date. I got the main trades for now, but still have to create some people that are not on the rosters, but got traded.

Also, just out of curiosity... What were some of the ratings that you felt were off? (Always trying to improve the rosters).

I'm not sure what you just said, but...yes, the humidor has an effect, but Coors Field is still one of the best hitter's parks in the game. It's just not the off-the-charts hitters park it used to be.

And I don't know how koolzach has Holliday rated, so I can't comment on that.
