You got it.
The NY media is not happy with it.....putting all their hopes in a 38 year serial retiree.
The part where everyone cared passed a few days ago I think. Most everyone is just tired of hearing about that. The media did a wonderful job on burning us out on this in a few days.
I'm glad he got traded, but neither side treated this one the right way. Brett hasn't said much that was intelligent but he did say one thing that I agreed with;
"If the Packers were me then they would understand where I was coming from, and if I were the Packers then I would understand where they are coming from."
Basically both sides were right and wrong which made this thing a whole big mess.
The Jets are not a super bowl contender with or without Favre. The Packers missed out on the super bowl because of himso don't think that is going to make the Jets and all their over-priced mediocre free agents an instant challenger to the might Patriots.
lets go Brett.![]()
This season is gonna be fuuuuuuun.
I think the Jets are making a mistake putting all their eggs and immediate future in the Brett basket!
Nahhhhh
yeah!now us in the midwest don't have to hear about his every move.
Now he is in the East! Oh Joy...

I know we have a good QB in Seattle with Hasselbeck, but wouldn't have been perfect to have Favre in Seattle. This would possibly been his last season and this is Mike Holmgren's last season as a coach. There is also Matt Hasselbeck who was a backup to Favre in 1999. I know it wont happen but it would be a good story.
Well, considering the ridiculous money they've already thrown at Alan Faneca (good, but old), Calvin Pace (one good year...in his contract year, which is usually not a good sign of a player turning the corner), and Kris Jenkins (big man with 2 bad knees and a questionable work ethic who has never played nose tackle before), picking up an old QB isn't really any worse. Let's face it...Mike Tannenbaum and Eric Mangini are not trying to build a team this year, they're trying to save their jobs.
