I'm glad Favre turned down the awful of $25 million not to play football. Too bad our farmers won't refuse to participate in that awful government program that pays them not to grow crops.

Green Bay needs to trade Favre. What they are doing is utterly unreasonable. I guess this shows why you should never sign a long-term contract with an employer. Isn't slavery defined as a situation where a person is unable to quit their job or their employer is unable to stop employing them?

Now, maybe I'm misreading what you said, in which case, I apologize...and, frankly, I HOPE I am...but are you actually comparing this situation to slavery? Seriously? Favre CREATED this situation with his own actions, and his own inability to make up his damn mind! Last I checked, REAL slaves didn't decide whether or not to climb on board the ship to the 'new country'.

Now, getting past that ridiculous comparison...while I agree with you that the Packers have not dealt with this properly, are you saying Favre HAS? He's acting like an entitled, arrogant jackass! Half the reason he HASN'T been traded is because he keeps rejecting potential suitors, of which there have been several! Now, I thought he just wanted to play...so why not go somewhere AND PLAY?!

Question Re: Note to Green Bay Packers Ownership

I don't know how good Rodgers is, but I predict that Brett will disappoint us all, this coming season...towards the end of 2007, I thought that he looked very un-Favre-like, in his play.

Well, I LOVE the latest, where he says he has decided not to show up to practice, because he doesn't want to be a distraction to the team. How BIG of you, Brett.

I was wondering if he gets fined. Technically, it would be considered a holdout, since he has been reinstated and not practicing because he wants to be traded.

Well, in this case, the team also wants him to stay away, so I don't see that happening. It's sounding more and more, though, like Tampa may be the final destination...although I've read in a few places that King Brett has actually deigned to take the Jets' calls now, too.
