4-3 to a 3-4 ?

I have been playing using a 4-3 D but am wondering if I can set it up to run a 3-4; anyone know ? I can Sub a LB into one of the DE slots, but on the outsdie of the box, to the left, it still shows DE,DT,DT,DE, even tho' I have a LB in place.

I dom't think you can do anything about actually changing the front. As to whether playing a LB out of position would sort of 'force' a 3-4, I really don't know.

I'd suggest just giving it a shot and seeing what happens...if it does give that linebacker stats, it would seem to be working, though I kinda wonder whether your run D would suffer, especially if the LB is a smaller guy.

You can't just run a 3-4? The game isn't that limited is it?

There are defensive plays. Some are 4-3, some 3-4. You just need to select the correct plays.

Wow, this game is further behind then I thought. You can't even select that you want your team to primarily use the 3-4 scheme? Not to be a jerk or anything, but Clay should really consider dropping this black hole.

It needs a lot of work. I'd like to maybe see it disappear for a year and get a real reworking. However, in a year where EA has officially announced no Madden for PC, there is a market out there, this year. On the other hand, with rumors of a new Front Office Football, and with both Wolverine and Grey Dog studios putting out new text-based football sims, there could end up being MORE competition.

You can run a 3-4 by choosing plays that use a 3-4 formation. It's pretty straight-forward.

But if you don't want to go to that much effort, you can run the 3-4 in Football Mogul 2009 by just changing a setting on the Defense screen. You can also customize your playbook to run all 3-4 plays if you want.
