Ugh...Don Cherry. I cannot stand that guy. He was played out before he ever stepped in front of a stupid mic for the first time. And yet, apparently the REST of Canada feels differently. I still think it's nothing short of a national shame that that idiot was actually one of the ten finalists for votes in the 'Greatest Canadian in History' competition CBC did a few years back.

Anyway, Gretzky seems to finally be figuring out the coaching thing, so I guess there's a chance we'll never know how he'd do in a booth.

Oh, and I am now bound and determined to nickname a hockey player 'Goonie'.

Yeah, I had the same reaction to Douglas' win...certainly a HUGE figure in Canadian history, but not really Canadian.

Nope, no hockey game. I was a player of earlier versions of Eastside Hockey Manager, but there's some issues with the newest version's salary cap, and it appears the series might be dead, which is too bad. I'll just anoint someone 'Goonie'.

I don't really know what to call Cherry's role. I mean, he's not play by play, he's not REALLY a color guy, since he only has the one segment between periods. I GUESS he'd be an analyst...and, geez, how depressing is THAT?!
