Ugh...Don Cherry. I cannot stand that guy. He was played out before he ever stepped in front of a stupid mic for the first time. And yet, apparently the REST of Canada feels differently. AB, I could have written your first paragraph, myself. word for word...I was beginning to think that I was the only guy left in Canada, who was embarrassed by Don Cherry. I wish that he'd stuck to coaching...he was good at that.
Oh, I think that there's every chance that Gretsky could, ultimately get around to commentary...wouldn't it be luvverly if he replaced Cherry? ( who has, himself, gone the route of player/coach/colour guy).
