and where is the proof he is an excelent manager? he has never done ANYTHING before the mets not even the minors.

Also, I don't mean to scream racism, but what's up with having all latino players, and coaches pretty much - and they only fired the non-latino coaches it seems. I for one, am not racist, and I believe that the best players should play, and that is what should matter, not the color of your skin. Let's just say that it's not ridiculous to think that Omar Minaya doesn't think the same.

Well, Willie is just an excellent baseball mind. If handed a team that had a chance for the playoffs, I would have full confidence that Willie could get 'em there. Plus add in the fact that he is a former Yankee player...

Well, he was manager of the year last year, I believe. That will probably buy him another couple of extra years.

not really sure what being a player has to do with ANYTHING as history has proven that som players make good managers and some made terrible managers.

and as for having a team that u know will make the playoffs is like joe torre. he did NOTHING with teams without stars on it. i would take a guy like the AZ manager or FLA or even Yost in MIL over a guy like torre anyday.

you yankey lovers need to get over yourselves. do you hear me braging we won 3 WS and the Mets only won 2? NO you dont because thats the past. who cares what the yanks did in the 50's and 60's its not what they are doing NOW.

    LOL NO!!!

Because "bragging" about winning 3 World Series is just hilarious. You should be ashamed because with ALL of those division titles, your Braves didn't do ****, lol.

    3 WS? Psh... Try 26...

How old are you Zach? How many of those did you even see?

This is why The Yankees and Yankee fans are so hated. Some doofus (not calling you a doofus Zach, I'm sure you're a fine upstanding young man) puts on pinstripes and suddenly thinks he's great by association.

You like a team that won a lot of world series before you were born. Way to go!!!

Also, on you questioning Randolph as a manager... He took over a terrible Muts team that had gone 294-354 over the last 4 years, and 137-186 over the last 2 years. He turned that team into a team that consistently competed for the playoffs, and won 268 games in 3 seasons. You cannot question how good of a manager he is. You cannot win, when you have a bunch of old washed up ball players playing for ya.

If it matters, I am 17... But, even so, I have seen 6 WS titles, and back to back to back WS titles. 6 is still more than most (if any) fans have seen from their favorite team. I know people get tired of Yankee fans saying "26 rings" and whatever, but what about most Sux fans. They think they are absolutely the greatest. Wow, I won 2 WS in a century... Give me a break, if your favorite team won 26 WS titles, I think you'd brag just as much as most Yankee fans, as it is something to truly be proud of.

Lol, ok, sure it is 7. Good job looking that up, man. But, you're right... I do not have a clue about baseball, lol. I've only been playing the game of baseball my whole life, and been a fan my whole life. Boy, do I wish I had a clue about baseball, like you obviously do, chief.

Again, absolutely NOTHING to brag about, dude.

And likewise, "he" didn't turn the team around. He took over the job as manager right as David Wright and Jose Reyes were emerging, and Carlos Beltran was added.

I'm 18, and I've seen them win 4 championships. How have you seen them win 6?
