Yeah but that takes all the fun out of saying Hank is right!
No need to worry about that, Rick, because he's WRONG (come on, now, I KNOW Yankee fans actually enjoy disagreeing with Steinbrenners...it's encouraged!)
Wah wah, my pitcher had to run the bases, and he got hurt. And...what...if Johnny Damon got hurt doing the same he'd demand that every ballpark in the majors cushion the basepaths with soft foam when the Yankees come to town?![]()
Hmm, now why would the Yankees' owner say that the NL should have the DH and not mention that getting rid of inter-league would also solve his problem...
$$$$$
Man, the Yankees pitchers see enough guys rounding the bases to get the idea of how it all works.![]()
Does he have any clue about baseball and its history, at least his daddy did.
Just another rich spoiled a**hole owner with no clue.
good one.Yankees pitchers see enough guys rounding the bases
maybe they would be better at running bases than pitching
Unbelievable. 'our pitchers don't know how to run' - listen, if Bartolo Colon and David Wells can leg one out, your highly-trained, athletic young pitcher can probably run 90 feet without killing himself.
This is an unfortunate occurence, and I feel bad (already felt bad for the Yanks, I mean c'mon), but...he ran 90 feet. No throw. No slide. You're telling me a pitcher, who uses his legs as his main muscles to throw a ball 95mph, and must spend hours running and conditioning to be able to pitch a full 9-inning contest, has never run 90 feet in a straight line during practice? And futhermore, that he cannot compete with the highly sculpted physique of say, a Carlos Zambrano?
I've recently stopped hating the Yanks, with Boston's WS wins and all...but the Steinbrenners, they're as ignorant and loudmouthed as ever.
I actually like the Yanks, just not the stupid a** running the team.
What really ticked me off was:
wha?!?That was a rule from the 1800s.
Way to make the DH shine there, buddy. Thanks.

You insist that there is something a machine cannot do. If you will tell me precisely what it is that a machine cannot do, then I can always make a machine which will do just that! -J. von Neumann
I'm worried that when my Mets are playing an AL team my pitcher will get too bored sitting on the bench all the time.
lol
