Randy should be in...#2 strikeouts all time plus his high win count. Of course, that didn't work for Blyleven.

Johnson's got the 20 win seasons, and the 5 Cy Young awards, with 4 of those consecutively. That's the sort of things the voters use. Blyleven doesn't have any of that, despite being over-qualified for the HOF.

    Um, no.

Over-qualified as in he has more than enough to deserve induction.

If the HOF does, in my opinion, it shouldn't...celebrities should only be judged in

I just like the fact that Smoltz went from being a dominant starter to a dominant closer and THEN back to a dominant starter. I think it's extremely difficult to go from starter to closer and back to starter, nonetheless being dominant at all three times.

    It probably is difficult.

Heh, my dad's always told me that in order to throw a strike, a pitcher has to put his middle finger in an area the size of a quarter (during throwing motion) in order to throw a strike.

    Now THAT seems difficult.

I did re-read it, and I still don't see what "having or showing undue or excessive pride in one's appearance or achievements" has to do with being a murderer, or a drug addict, or a womanizer, or a drinking man. Sure, you can be any of those things and also be vain, but you can be an egotistical jerk without being any of those other things, or you can be any and/or all of them with out being vain.

Like I said enuff already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are all gonna get in. Johnson is a total bunghole. Maddux is the best of all the candidates because I can guarantee that that guy never juiced. If you ever run into him or Glavine in a restaurant, they are average sized guys. Now Johnson or Clemens, hmmm. I would rather see Wells get in than Clemens though. It is a feat to see a guy inject a double cheeseburger into his arm

    You can?

Johnson isn't an average sized guy because he is freaking tall. He's tall and lanky. Not exactly the profile of a roided up freak.

But then again, neither is Nook Logan, which just goes to show, there is no profile, and you can tell exactly nothing about whether or not a guy used steroids just by looking at him.

    Exactly.
