WTF with Terry Francona trying to leave ManRam in the game after he walked with a 7-1 lead in the 7th? This after he was obviously hurt and complaining about a knee or hamstring? Why in the world would you not IMMEDIATELY send in a pinch runner?????? 20+ million dollar investment with a bum leg standing on first base with a 7-1 lead???

I for one was pretty irate, the **** 1st base coach had to make the call or so it appeared!!

I read that it was apparantly over how Youkilis routinely throws helmets and stuff after he does bad.

I heard last night at the PawSox game that it was about backing up teammates - apparently Youk was more ready to get Crisp's back in the fight, and Manny stayed out of it entirely or got in very very late.

Just a rumor, but I can imagine Manny wanting to avoid anything that might hurt his $20mil option being picked up.

Yeah, that was a rumor. An inside source said it was about Youkilis's actions after an at-bat.
