The thing about Crawford that I heard about though was how he came in late and was sucker punching Crisp on the bottom of the pile. He's not going to be very popular amongst other players for that, you know?
You insist that there is something a machine cannot do. If you will tell me precisely what it is that a machine cannot do, then I can always make a machine which will do just that! -J. von Neumann
the suspensions should be for when they play against each other. that would also eliminate any further action.
crisp was wrong big time. i am a red sox fan and still disagree with him. I play shortstop and when i play if i am going into the bag i want the fielder to know he better get out of my way. when i am the fielder then i want the runner to know get out of my way by throwing the ball sidearm and low at the runner. i never have fights because i never cross the line. all slides are hard but not with intent to hurt. while all throws are low but never at someones head. this is how you play. no fighting and accept it when it comes to you. if someone takes me out at 2nd i get up and congradulate the runner for a good play. i love that.
I think that Crisp did something dirty last year on the basepaths as well. Can't recall exactly what, or to whom, but I do remember being turned off to him after that.
