    Interest level question

My friend and I have a small debate going on about the interest option in the Free Agent Dialogue.. I was thinking it's the players interest level in playing for your team, while my friend believes it's the general interest by the other teams to sign the player.. What would it be?

Well, this year should be interesting..

I'm pretty sure its the level of interest other teams show in the free agent, but I'm not 100% certain. At least that's how I always read it.

I am not sure at all either, but I always read it the other way. The players interest in signing with you.

However, the other way makes more sense as players with "HIGH" interest, never seemed that willing to play for my team when it came down to negotiation a contract.

    Re: Interest level question

Its the interest level that other teams have in signing the free agent. Click on the players name, and look at the comments about their status.

When "interest" is "none", the comment is that there are no contract rumors.
When interest is low, then the player "has begun contract talks" with a certain team.
When interest is moderate, then the player is "negotiating"
When interest is high, the player is negotiating a specific length (i.e., 3 years) of contract with a specific team.
When interest is "very high", the player is "close" to signing said contract.

    He's 100% correct, too.

There's a Heisenberg punchline hiding here somewhere.

Perhaps something about the more specific your search terms get (in the quantum physics forum), the less certain the results become?

    Naw, that's not it...

    Oh, well.
