    God Save the Fan

Just finished reading God Save the Fan, and I have to recommend it to any sports fan. It's a hilarious read that sheds light on a lot of issues and really just tells it how it is, in a way perfectly designed for the average fan. Great read, and any diehard sports fan owes it to themselves to read it.

One of those books I keep meaning to grab, and keep forgetting while I'm in the store.

Thanks HGM...I'll look out for that in my local library.

AB, I know that if I had your money, I'd throw mine away, but with the price of books, today, I'm amazed that you don't try to borrow your reading...I imagine that you have a lending library up there? (That's probably wot makes it "Exciting
    Leduc")

This book contains exactly zero statistical analysis.

Seeing as Will Leitch is the guy who runs Deadspin, I really REALLY doubt there are any stats in the book whatsoever. He's more of a humor guy.

The local library is fairly small, so I'd be quite shocked to find that they have a copy of it (the book is still relatively new). I don't spend nearly as much on books as I used to, having discovered the wonders that are good used book stores.

Yep, the book is chock-full of humor. It mentions stats rarely...like in the chapter regarding fantasy sports...but, it has no statistical analysis at all. It's not that type of book.
