A great All-Star game! The National League looked as though they were going to take one home finally. That wasn't the case though. The AL staged an epic comback in the bottom of the ninth higlighted by an amazing Richie Sexson shot. He came to the plate with the tying run on second and two outs. He took strike one. Ball one came in low. Ball two was a little outside. A strike over the outside corner. Then he got his pitch and smashed it into the bleachers in right for a walk off All Star game winner. Naturally he was named the games MVP!
All-Star game MVP: Richie Sexson - 2-2, 2HR, 2R, 3RBI

It was very exciting to see Bradley get the nod for the second straight year and start at CF. A 2-4 day with a RBI and a run scored was the icing on the cake. Prior and Harden looked good in their combined 5 innings. They gave up 5ER and struck out 10 combined. Mazzaro also gets named to the team. How does this kid not get rookie of the year! A nice day for the A's.
