It is pretty easy to use other words than swear words. Thou I do think that Crapp should be unsensored. Other swear words. Just use other words to fully describe how you feel or what you want to say. Get a dictionary..ect.

Do I swear? occassionally I do.

Thumbs up Re: Language Blocking System

RickD, I apologize for my jumping to the conclusion that your aversion to swearing was "for religious reasons"

Being well brought-up is even better, imo...

A word is a word. It's the thought behind the word that matters. Is "F-off" really any different than its counterpart? The intent behind it is the same.

It was this thread that really got under my skin. I dont know if you post repeatedly in any others but in this one you wouldn't let Bradshaw go.

That's really all I was talking about.

Plus, I don't like the Yanks xD

Personally, I don't see why anybody would be offended by a mere word. The intention behind the word could be offensive, but just shouting dam, hell, or crap into the air shouldn't be offensive to anybody.

As for the argument that we could just "stretch our vocabulary," well sure we could. But why should we? I could say, "that was a damn good sandwich." Or I could say "that was a very good sandwich." And what if I suddenly told you "very" was a dirty word? Then you'd have to stretch your vocabulary and find a new one, but it would be pointless.

But I didn't, and you posted simply to tell me that my post was unnecessary and superfluous. Which made your post only that much more unnecessary.

Actually I was responding to the last page of posts and not to you personally. Sorry if you took it that way.

Oh, I dunno, Filihok...mebbe a "Please leave!" accompanied by a wry smile, would amuse even the recipient.

As one who has been shown the door many times, I have an appreciation of the various nuances possible in a personal parting-of-the-ways.
