Switch from IE to Firefox to solve problem

For a long time I could log-in but couldn't post. I was using the Internet Explorer browser with the Vista OS.

I finally switched to using the Firefox browser and the problem went away. Board works perfectly well now. (Other websites work better too.)

I'm posting this so others who might have the same problem can see that there's a simple solution available.

Opera works far better for this as well. IE is just a bag of busted parts IMO.

Which version of IE do you have, it looks like you have a cookie problem. I currently use IE7, but for many, many years here, I used FireFox, but that dang browser doesn't work sometimes for ESPN Insider....errr, ahhh!

I had many problems using IE6, but since the upgrade to IE7, it is one of the better browsers out there... I do not like opera, and firefox I haven't used but love the bookmarks RSS reader layout...it is always open at the top...and it just dropps down...(in Fire Fox)

yea, I think I'm sticking with XP. I'm going to be getting a new comp, and figured that would be a good reason to upgrade. Vista doesn't seem like an upgrade though... which is really a first for me.

well I have had Vista premium for a week or so and I find it easy to use so far, I haven't had much in the way of trouble, it runs fast on my machine, I got a laptop with it on it already, so far it plays all of my legacy games. The only problem I have run into Ohms_Law told me the answer to.

Well, I haven't even used Vista yet, but at least I still know enough to be able to fix it...

I have read several reviews that say wait for windows 7 in 2009, it wil have all of the features of vista but run faster and have all of the features vista was supposed to have but left off in order to get it out on time.

Know what? I think it'd be easier (and a LOT cheaper) if we just went back to an abacus for our computing and paper and dice for our gaming.

Bah. That news.com article is dated July 2007 and says the next Windows release will be out "within three years", which would likely mean 2010 at the earliest, and more likely 2012. It also says that Vista SP1 was due to release "before the end of the year" and we're still waiting for that in mid-March.

Microsoft will not release another OS until they have sucked all the money they can out of the XP-to-Vista upgrade cycle. Bank on it.

yeah but kids today wouldn't know how to use an abacus and their exercise challenged arms might be too weak to roll dice
