low stats

I just bought fm08 and I have simulated about 5 seasons and each season only like 3 or 4 players get over 1,000 yards recieving and only a few QB's pass for more than 3,000 yards. Is there a setting I can edit to make things a little more realistic? is anyone else having this happen to them or am I the only one?

Looking at my recent leaderboards, it seems that about every 2 years there's a slight dip in the stats. As in, there goes from 10 players with +1,000 recieving; to only one or two.
But, I haven't noticed any continuity of it.
