    real life.

    I am looking for some information on which team is more successful at driving in runners.

    Not just by looking at total Runs, but actually by looking at total runs divided by chances.

    I 'll bet some baseball statistician somewhere, can come up with LOB stats, Boom...try Google.

    If all else fails, you can collate the numbers during the upcoming season...make a list of teams, then notate the number of LOBs against their name, after each game, as published by your fave newspaper.

    AL = http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/al/07team2.htm
    NL = http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/nl/07team2.htm

    I made a spreadsheet that I think is what you wanted at:
    http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...KeULbi2h11KjfA

    Base Runners Total = 2*TP + DP + LOB + CS + R - HR
    Base Runners Scored = R - HR
    Base Runners Scored % = Base Runners Scored / Base Runners Total

    If that isn't what you were looking for, at least the LOB numbers are there for you. I can alway put in whatever formula you would like.

    thanks sir kodiak.

    This is what I am looking for. I am looking for offensive Efficiency, not just by how many runs scored, but by how many runs scored vs how many chances there are. Now runners left on base, this includes first base as well, correct?

    yes, lob is would be any runners on base when when the final out of the inning was made and did not score.

    Did you look at the spreadsheet I linked to? Is it what you were looking for?

    A better efficiency would probably need to look at what base the runners were on, or maybe looking at the results of all at bats with a runner on and considering both base(s) occupied and number of outs.
